Hi! My name is Chad Harrington. I'm very passionate about web development and web design. After graduating college, my first few gigs were in design. I spend most of my days in Photoshop and Illustrator. While working in design I also continued to develop my programming skills and knowledge. Slowy but surely I made a transition to web development. Having started out in design and then transitiong to development has given a true understanding of the workflow and requirements to create a website or web application.
I'm currently a Sr. UI Developer at MXM, and I truly love my career. Most of my days are spent coding in Javascript, CSS/LESS/SASS, and HTML, but I still find time on the side to continue my growth in design.
I often help designers with the fundementals and standards of web design. Techniques like designing with the grid, setting up Photoshop for working efficiently, creating actions to streamline the workflow, and saving assets for the web are a few ways I help designers. In addition, I'm always looking for tools to make the design process easier. Avocode, Slicy, Fontea, Sublte Patterns, PSD Cleaner are a few tools that I have in my aresenal to make the design workflow more effiecient.
